7th–8th
Pitching from 43 feet and preparation for high school softball.
Overview
The Juniors division is generally for 12 and 13 year olds in 7th and 8th grade, and an 11 year old with at least one year of Majors may try out. A 14 year old or high school freshman who does not wish to play high school softball may also play here. The division uses a 12 inch ball, pitching from 43 feet, and board-certified umpires, and is the final step in preparation for high school play. Alongside the recreational intraleague games, a group of 8th graders is selected by assessment to compete against nearby towns across roughly four or five games in the spring.
Focus Areas
- Full position specialisation
- Player pitching from 43 feet
