Majors
5th–6th
A 12 inch ball, pitching from 40 feet, certified umpires. Position specialisation begins.
Overview
The Majors division is generally for 10 and 11 year olds in 5th and 6th grade, and a 9 year old with at least one year of Minors may try out. The division moves up to a 12 inch ball, pitching from 40 feet, and board-certified umpires. Playing experience is not required; a 12 year old with little experience may choose or be recommended to play Majors rather than Juniors. Players begin specialising into one or two positions and develop play strategy. Every team goes to the playoff tournament, finishing with a championship game.
